CRIM – CA24155 – Climate Reference Instruments and Measurements (Upper-air, Column and Near Surface)

The Climate Reference Instruments and Measurements (Upper-air, Column and Near Surface) COST Action (CRIM) addresses the critical needs for traceable measurements to the International System of Units (SI) and robust uncertainty quantification in atmospheric and climate research.

The primary objective of CRIM is to foster collaboration and harmonization among researchers, institutions, and stakeholders across Europe, and beyond, to enhance the quality, reliability, and credibility of observational data in climate science. The final aim is to ultimately improve confidence in detecting climate trends and predicting severe events.

General Rules for CRIM’s Grant

All the Grant Applications are evaluated by the Evaluation Committee guided by the Grant Awarding Coordinator on behalf of the Management Committee (MC).

Grants Evaluation Committees composition:

* Chair and vice chair of the WG the grant is related to

* WG4 chair (given the potential impact content of every grant)

* The Grant Awarding Coordinator

* The Action Chair and vice chair

The evaluation will be based on the following criteria:

–          Proposed scope of the grant;

–          Quality of the participation/mission;

–          Alignment with the Action’s deliverables and objectives;

–          Applicant’s CV;

Preference will be accorded to new Applicants. The calls for applications are continuously open, first come first served basis.
